Discover HOST53
A place to discover
Granada in a different light
HOST53 was founded on a simple idea: to bring together different ways of life in one place.
Here you can stay overnight, enjoy breakfast, work for a few hours, explore an exhibition or take part in an activity – all without having to move to a different space.
Every corner has a different purpose, but they all form part of the same experience.
We do not believe in isolated spaces.
We believe in places where people, ideas and experiences come together naturally.

HOST 53 CLUB
A community on the move
HOST 53 CLUB is the community that has grown up around HOST 53.
It was founded by the people who have been part of our home — guests, artists and collaborators — but it is also open to Granada’s international community looking for a unique place to meet up, get to know people and forge genuine connections.
We want to bring together travellers and locals, people who have just arrived in Granada and others who have been living here for years, artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, students and people keen to share experiences, ideas and projects.
HOST 53 thus becomes more than just a place to stay: it’s a meeting point between Granada and the world.
Through the Club, we organise get-togethers, dinners, activities, creative sessions, events and collaborations that allow people to get to know one another naturally and stay connected to the community.
HOST 53 CLUB aims to be your meeting place.
Come as a guest.
Leave as part of the community.
What you’ll find
- Visitors and locals
- New connections
- Events and dinners
- Activities and events
- Projects and collaborations
- International community
Artist Residencies
A residence within a living house
The HOST53 Artist Residencies are designed for contemporary artists who wish to step away from their usual surroundings, spend some time in Granada and develop new works within a vibrant and creative environment.
Rather than simply offering a place to stay, the residence integrates artists into the day-to-day life of HOST53: a space where accommodation, a gallery, a studio, a café and an international community coexist under one roof.
Artists are given the time and space to explore, experiment and create, whilst connecting with Granada, its cultural scene and the people who visit the house.
Projects can take many forms: painting, photography, sculpture, installation, drawing, printmaking, digital art, murals, interventions, workshops or site-specific projects.
Three ways to take part in the programme
HOST53 Fellowship
Our care home offering comprehensive support.
The HOST53 Fellowship is reserved for artists whose practice and project proposals are particularly in line with HOST53’s artistic direction.
This is the scheme that offers the highest level of support and is designed as a close collaboration between the artist and HOST53.
The residency may lead to a new body of work, an exhibition, an intervention, an installation or another project developed specifically in dialogue with the house and the city.
HOST53 Supported Residency
A shared investment residency for selected artists.
The Supported Residency is designed for artists whose work resonates particularly well with the HOST53 programme and who are seeking both creative support and an immersive period of production in Granada.
HOST53 provides part of the resources required for the residency, whilst the artist helps to cover the remaining costs.
It combines independence with access to HOST53’s creative environment, network and visibility.
HOST53 Independent Residency
A self-funded residency for artists who wish to develop their own project within the HOST53 ecosystem.
Independent Residency offers artists the opportunity to live and work in Granada whilst being part of the creative community at HOST53.
It is designed for artists who already have a defined line of research or project and are seeking time, space, context and connections rather than direct financial support.
Independent residents continue to form part of the artistic life of the house and may also take part in exhibitions, presentations or other activities, depending on the nature of their project.
